Terms and Conditions for all my services are listed here in the following order:
Completing and signing my booking forms forms part of the agreement for makeup services between you and Amy L Wilkinson.
A mutually convenient time for the trial will be arranged between the parties to take place at Amy’s studio. Trials are carried out on weekdays during school hours and Weekend afternoons, evening trials will only be offered during the Summer and by prior arrangement to fit around current bookings. It may occasionally be necessary to change the date of a trial that has already been agreed and every attempt will be made to accommodate another date that is convenient.
Once you are happy with the make-up design, Amy will ensure that a detailed record of all cosmetic products used in the trial are recorded for her own personal use. On the wedding day it may be occasionally necessary for Amy to deviate from the precise design as was agreed at the trial. This could be as a result of a change in your skin tone (due to the addition of a tan, for example), skin type (from oily to dry, for example) or simply as a result of the creative nature of the task.
Any agreement for hair services must be entered into with the stylist and completely separately from this agreement. From time to time, Amy may make recommendations as to the suitability of a certain stylist, but she is in no way liable for their performance, or lack thereof.
It is your responsibility to notify Amy of any health complaint, skin complaint or sensitivity to any part of your face or body that you are aware of at any time that the application of cosmetic products is due to commence. It is also your responsibility to ensure that any member of your party requiring make-up services supplies Amy with the same information. If you (or any of your wedding party requiring make-up services) are suffering from any complaints or sensitivities, Amy may be unable to apply cosmetic products including (but not exclusive of) make-up to the eyes, face, lips or body or skincare products such as moisturisers, cleansers or toners unless you produce a letter from your doctor expressly authorising the application of these products. Amy’s decision in these circumstances is final.
Amy reserves the right to refuse to apply cosmetic products to any person whom she suspects of suffering from a health or skin complaint or sensitivity.
It is your responsibility to notify Amy of any known allergies or sensitivities to any cosmetic brand (including skin and face care products and make-up). This includes all members of your party who are receiving make-up/cosmetic application.
Trials must be paid for in advance either by payment of the 50% deposit or if the bride wished to have a trial prior to booking the current trial rate must be paid upon booking a trial, the brides date will be held for 3 days following the trial and a deposit must be paid within this time to secure the date.
Cancellation of a trial with less than 48 hours notice will not be refunded and additional trials will be subject to further payment. Over 48 hours notice and I will offer you a rescheduled appointment.
Re-trials for the bride are available at an additional cost, this includes but not limited to reasons such as deciding against the style tested or wanted to test additional looks.
No refunds for trials will be given in any circumstances.
Fifteen miles travel each way is included in the prices. After this allowance, mileage is charged at 45p per mile each way. Travel to London will be calculated based Train travel, and use of the tube. London train tickets will purchase 12 weeks prior to the wedding date to allow for the cheapest travel costs and are to be covered by the Bride.
Amy will arrive at the location for bridal preparation at the agreed time. For the makeup area, Amy requires a room with good natural lighting (failing that, space near a window) to set up her workstation. A table or space to set out the makeup kit will be needed also. Amy will aim to have the bridal party’s makeup finished one hour before the ceremony time. Amy has a strict no smoking policy and will not be required to work in a room where people are or have been smoking. If required Amy can bring a tall chair and makeup light, this must be requested in advance if lighting is an issue.
At the time of making a booking, a 50% booking fee will be taken by bank transfer the remaining balance will be due 1 months prior to the date of your wedding. Any extra adults having a trial at the same time as the bride can make a payment in cash or card on the day of the trial.
If there are any less services required on the wedding day than have already been paid for (for instance if the number of people requiring makeup reduces for whatever reason) there are no refunds given in respect of that person.
Once the balance has been settled in full, there are no refunds given. The only exception is if the wedding is cancelled (in which case a letter from the wedding venue confirming the same will be required) AND Amy manages to fill the wedding date with another booking.
Please note that Amy cannot accept any payments on the wedding day and if members of your bridal party are making payment for makeup services, it is the bride’s responsibility to collect payment and forward to Amy when the final balance is due.
In the unlikely event that Amy is unable to attend your booking due to sickness, injury, personal emergency or any other circumstance beyond her control, she will endeavour to find a replacement make-up artist of a similar standard. This cannot, however, be guaranteed. If Amy is unable to find a replacement makeup artist, you will receive a full refund of monies paid.
Once a deposit is received from you, Amy will reserve your wedding date in the diary and all other enquiries for work that day will be turned away as Amy only books one wedding per day.
Should you wish to cancel your booking with Amy, the following cancellation policy applies: Cancellations six months or more before the wedding – £100 of your booking Fee will be retained to cover admin, loss studio time and the trial (whether or not it has gone ahead). Cancellations between three and six months of the wedding – your 50% deposit will be retained in full. Cancellations within three months of the wedding date – payment in full agreed on booking, will be due.
Amy will contact your wedding photographer for images from the day, these may or may not be used on her website www.amylwilkinson.com and on social media site’s such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Any objections to use of your images must be raised in writing, this can be done via email by contacting Amy on: amy@amylwilkinson.com.
Amy L Wilkinson is not an insurer or a guarantor and disclaims all liability in such capacity. If you are seeking a guarantee against cancellation, loss or damage you should obtain appropriate insurance.All services are conducted on the basis of the information, documents and/or photographs provided by you. Services are for the benefit of you and anyone who you choose to provide services for under this contract. Amy is not liable to you or any third party for any actions or omissions outside the remit of the service supplied. Nor is she liable for any problems arising as a result of unclear, erroneous, incomplete, misleading or false information supplied. Amy is not liable for any delayed, partial or total non-performance of the services arising directly or indirectly from any event outside her control including your failure to comply with any of your obligations.Amy’s liability in respect of any claim for loss, damage or expense of any nature, shall in no circumstances exceed the costs of services she has been contracted to provide.If any one or more provisions of these Terms and Conditions of Service are found to be illegal or unenforceable in any respect, the validity, legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not in any way be affected or impaired by this.
A full quote will be given on request, each quote I give is bespoke based on numerous factors including but not limited to time, location, design time, purchase of additional product’s, art direction. Once the Client has agreed to go ahead the date will be blocked out and no further bookings will take place, a full invoice will be sent via email after the booking has taken place and must be paid via bank transfer within 30 days. If the bill is not paid within 30 days and the client has made no contact to advise of late payment 10% will be added per day until the invoice is paid in full.
The first 25 miles of travel is included in the rate given, additional miles will be charged at 45p per mile. Travel to London will be done via train, train tickets will be purchased as early as possible and I will search for the cheapest rate available at the time of booking ,if a taxi or tube is required these costs are also to be covered by the client.

Less than 30 days and the client will required to cover 100% of my total fee including any monies lost on travel costs.
